This vital role involves respectfully transferring deceased individuals from various locations (homes, hospitals, care facilities) into our care. It requires both physical capability and a deep understanding of the sensitivity involved in funeral services.
What you'll do:
Support & Care: Work alongside Funeral Directors to provide compassionate and professional transfer services, offering support and empathy to grieving families.
Physical Work: Safely and respectfully lift and carry deceased individuals, often involving physically demanding tasks.
Professionalism: Maintain the highest standards of discretion, respect, and presentation at all times.
Vehicle Operation: Drive company transfer vehicles responsibly and safely.
What we're looking for:
Proximity: Must live within 30 minutes of Currimundi to ensure timely responses.
Physical Capability: Comfortable and capable of performing physical work, including regular lifting and carrying.
Driving Licence: Hold a current and valid manual driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Empathy & Professionalism: A natural ability to show compassion, empathy, and maintain professionalism when interacting with grieving families and colleagues.
Discretion: Understand the importance of confidentiality and respectful conduct.
Availability: Flexibility to work on an "as needed" casual basis, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
