The Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation (LOAF) is one of Western Australia’s most respected youth development charities. For more than 30 years, the Foundation has used adventure‑based sail training aboard the tall ship STS Leeuwin II to build leadership, resilience, teamwork and confidence in tens of thousands of young Western Australians.
After an extraordinary period of crisis, restoration and recovery, LOAF is entering a pivotal new phase.
We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through rebuilding, repositioning and sustainable growth.

The Opportunity
As CEO, you will;
* Lead LOAF through recovery into long‑term stability and growth
* Set and execute a clear, compelling strategic direction
* Unite staff, volunteers, Board, funders and partners around a shared mission
* Secure financial sustainability and diversified funding
* Ensure the highest standards of governance, safety and risk management
* Act as the public face and trusted leader of an iconic WA institution
With sail training voyages restarting, the CEO role is central to restoring confidence, momentum and impact.
About You
You are a proven Chief Executive with the credibility, resilience and emotional intelligence to lead through complexity.
You bring;
* Prior CEO experience is highly desirable but not essential
* Strong people leadership and the ability to inspire teams and volunteers
* Strategic capability and financial discipline
* Outstanding communication skills, from Boardroom to community
* High EQ and the ability to align diverse stakeholder groups
* A calm, structured approach to risk, safety and accountability
Experience in youth‑focused not‑for‑profits, adventure programs, or military, naval or first‑responder environments will be highly regarded. Above all, you bring purpose, accountability and heart.
