Our client is a respected and long‐standing provider of HVAC services and energy solutions across NSW.
With a strong reputation for quality delivery and long‐term client relationships, they are now seeking a commercially minded General Manager to partner with the Managing Directors and senior leadership to drive the next stage of growth.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Directors, you will take ownership of day‐to‐day operations while playing a key role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the business.
You will lead across operations, people, financial performance and client relationships, ensuring the business continues to deliver high‐quality outcomes while identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
Key responsibilities
* Drive business performance, growth and operational efficiency
* Execute and contribute to the strategic plan
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across field and office functions
* Strengthen client relationships and support business development
* Oversee financial performance including budgets, revenue and cost management
* Implement and improve systems, processes and reporting
* Ensure compliance with WHS, quality and industry standards
* Develop and embed HR policies, performance frameworks and enhance team capability
About you
You are a commercially astute and hands‐on leader who enjoys being close to the detail while also thinking strategically. You bring strong operational experience and the ability to lead teams, drive performance and build relationships.
You will also demonstrate:
* Proven experience in a senior management or General Manager role, preferably within small to medium enterprise
* Strong financial and commercial acumen
* Experience leading teams in a trade, construction, engineering or similar environment (HVAC or electrical highly regarded)
* Excellent stakeholder and client relationship skills
* A proactive, solutions‐focused and results‐driven mindset
* Strong communication, leadership and decision‐making capability
