The Senior Scoping and Development Engineer role focuses on developing larger scale projects, whilst mentoring and guiding junior engineers through their smaller scale projects.The development of these large scale transport projects requires the role to undertake scoping activities, use CAD to develop civil designs, procure external civil designs, prepare internal governance documents, engage with stakeholders, obtain project permits and work with delivery teams on cost estimation to ensure projects are "delivery ready".Key Selection Criteria You Are Someonewho builds strong partnerships, fosters co-creation, and facilitates discussions to reach shared decisions and outcomes.who applies critical thinking to develop sustainable solutions, considering broader government and organisational contexts.who leads project delivery, engages senior stakeholders, manages risks, and balances the needs of clients, teams, and the organisation.who understands customer needs, tailors services accordingly, and manages risks to ensure effective service delivery.who focuses on outcomes, monitors the impact of work on the community, and supports delivery models that create positive results.who promotes collaboration, encourages knowledge sharing, and identifies opportunities to work with other teams to achieve outcomes.Qualifications and Experience The role requires a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, extensive experience in civil design and project management, the ability to travel within the Loddon Mallee Hume regions, and a valid driver's license.
