Project Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced project manager to support a multi-year Defence program delivering an enterprise Health Knowledge Management (HKM) System.
* A key objective of this role is to assess and verify supplier capabilities, performance, and compliance with contractual requirements.
* Supplier communication, issue escalation, and status reporting will be managed to program leadership ensuring transparency and effective collaboration.
* The successful candidate will oversee supplier cost, schedule, technical, and quality baselines identifying risks and performance gaps that need mitigation.
* Support for subcontract changes and recommendations on supplier contract modifications will be provided.
* The Australian Industrial Capability (AIC) Plan will be led by the candidate including reporting and local industry activity outcomes.
* Australian industry engagement will be crucial in identifying, assessing, and advocating for local suppliers and innovation opportunities throughout the program lifecycle.
Your Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience applying project management methodologies such as PMI, Agile, PRINCE2.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively at all levels.
* Solid technical understanding to evaluate supplier deliverables and contribute to technical discussions and documentation.
* Knowledge of subcontracting principles, including finance, contract types, scheduling, and earned value management.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Defence sector experience is highly regarded.
