Jet Ski Tour Guide
Fulltime | Salary $65,000 - $70,000 per annum
About the Role
As a Jet Ski Tour Guide, you will escort and lead individuals and small groups on guided jet ski tours across Darwin Harbour and surrounding waterways. This role delivers memorable sightseeing and adventure experiences while representing the organisation in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct guided jet ski tours in accordance with scheduled itineraries and operational requirements
* Meet, greet, and escort visitors, providing clear explanations of tour features, local landmarks, marine environments, and points of interest
* Deliver clear safety briefings and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during tours, including monitoring weather and water conditions
* Answer guest questions, provide commentary, and assist visitors to understand local history, culture, and environmental significance
* Operate jet skis and related equipment competently while leading groups in open waterways
* Assist with visitor coordination activities such as bookings, check-ins, tour preparation, and post-tour guest engagement
* Handle incidents or emergencies calmly and in line with company procedures and safety guidelines
* Maintain tour equipment and safety gear to a high standard to support safe and efficient tour delivery
* Represent the organisation positively, promoting tourism experiences and encouraging repeat visitation
Qualifications & Experience
* AQF Certificate III or IV in a relevant field, such as tourism
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in tourism, guiding, hospitality or marine operations
* Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear explanations and engaging commentary to visitors
* Demonstrated ability to manage small groups and deliver high-quality customer experiences
* Confident swimming ability and safe handling of jet skis or small vessels
* Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
* A genuine interest in tourism, the natural environment, and engaging with visitors
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (preferred)
* Ability to work on weekends and public holidays
