Bowral Golf Club, established in 1901 and proudly known as "The Home of Golf in the Southern Highlands," is seeking an experienced and motivated Golf Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day golf experience for members, guests, and visitors.
With a growing membership, enjoyable course and the launch of our new hospitality venue "The Hastings" by Barrington's Group, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the Club.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Golf Operations Manager is responsible for delivering a first-class golf experience across daily play, competitions, retail operations, and member engagement.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a proactive individual with strong organisational skills, a passion for golf, and the ability to balance operational excellence with innovative thinking.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of daily golf operations including tee bookings, competitions, and social play
* Administer club competitions and support major events in collaboration with the Match Committee
* Deliver exceptional member and guest experiences as the welcoming face of golf at Bowral
* Manage the Pro Shop, including stock control, retail presentation, and cart fleet operations
* Develop and grow participation programs for juniors, beginners, and women
* Work with the General Manager to increase rounds, memberships, and corporate days
* Ensure compliance with WHS, Golf Australia, and Club procedures
* Contribute to continuous improvement across golf operations and member services
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Experience in golf operations, golf retail, or club management
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with members and guests
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
* A proactive, team-focused approach with a genuine passion for golf
* Familiarity with golf administration systems such as MiClub and GolfLink
* Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
* PGA qualification preferred but not essential
