BayIT is a regional IT services and support business operating across three locations on the Bellarine Peninsula. We are expanding our operations and launching a new client‑facing marketing service tailored to local small businesses.
The Role
We're hiring a mid‑ to senior‑level Marketing Specialist to lead both our internal marketing and support for local business clients. This newly created hands‑on role will allow you to shape our regional brand while working strategically with clients. The base salary offered is $80,000 per annum exclusive of superannuation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for all three BayIT locations to drive customer acquisition and brand awareness
- Creating promotional materials (flyers, signage, branded content)
- Ensuring brand consistency across print and digital platforms
- Plan and deliver seasonal promotions (EOFY, back‑to‑school, holidays)
- Work with local designers, printers, and media partners
- Monitor competitor activity and measure marketing performance
- Developing tailored marketing plans for local business clients
- Producing branded assets and managing their digital content
- Analysing campaign results and providing actionable recommendations
- You’ll be expected to juggle priorities, build strong relationships, and confidently deliver both creative output and measurable outcomes.
About You
You’re a strong communicator with a creative, strategic mindset and the ability to work independently across a broad range of tasks. You're comfortable working in a dynamic, regional environment and thrive in roles that combine leadership with hands‑on execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (IT/digital studies a plus)
- 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in small business or retail environments
- Proven ability to run campaigns from concept to execution
- Client facing or consultancy marketing experience
- Hands on with SEO, CMS, email marketing, and social media tools
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or Figma)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical IT services into engaging marketing messages
- Experience supporting regional/small businesses
- Familiarity with WordPress or knowledge in coding
- Ability to analyse marketing data and translate into strategy
