Job Description
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across the organisation. You will work closely with HR, finance, and IT to ensure data integrity, compliance, and seamless end‐to‐end payroll operations.
* End‐to‐end payroll processing including time and attendance, wages, overtime, allowances, deductions, and reconciliations
* Maintaining accurate payroll records and producing payroll reports, payslips, and statutory documentation
* Ensuring compliance with Awards, EBAs, legislation, and payroll policies
* Managing employee payroll queries and providing exceptional customer service within agreed timeframes
* Supporting process improvements, contributing to team projects, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for someone who prides themselves on accuracy, professionalism, and great communication. Strong customer service is absolutely critical in this role, as you will be a key point of contact for employees and internal stakeholders.
* Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards and EBAs
* Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems
* High attention to detail and strong problem solving
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing priorities
* Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables etc.)
* A proactive mindset and a genuine commitment to supporting and adding to a positive team culture
