Job Description
Position Title: Builder’s Labourer (Masonry/Blocklaying Support) – ANZSCO 821111 Location: Darwin, NT (including regional and remote project sites) Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week) Salary: $76,515 per annum + superannuation About the Employer A Northern Territory-based construction company specialising in blocklaying and masonry works across residential, commercial, and civil projects. The business operates across Darwin and remote NT locations, delivering structural blockwork, retaining walls, fencing systems, and large-scale building projects.
Due to increased project demand and ongoing contracts, the business requires a full-time Builder’s Labourer to support qualified blocklayers in delivering masonry works across multiple active sites. Key Responsibilities
* Assisting blocklayers in the construction of structural and non-structural blockwork
* Preparing and mixing mortar and concrete to required specifications
* Transporting and positioning concrete blocks, reinforcement materials, and tools on-site
* Setting up and maintaining safe and efficient masonry work areas
* Supporting wall alignment, levelling, and basic measurement tasks under supervision
* Cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas to construction standards
* Assisting with site preparation and pack-down across multiple projects
* Adhering strictly to WHS requirements in active construction environments
Skills and Requirements
* Minimum 1 year relevant construction or labouring experience, preferably in masonry or blocklaying environments
* Demonstrated ability to work on active construction sites with physical demands
* White Card (Construction Induction Card) – mandatory
* Ability to follow technical instructions from qualified tradespersons
* Willingness to work across multiple sites, including remote NT projects if required
* Strong reliability, teamwork, and safety awareness
* Drivers License
