**Position Description**:
The position of Simulation Technical Lead is a key member of Polymathian's Senior Leadership Team. You will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic technical direction for simulation for Polymathian.
Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing key discrete simulation technologies using both commercially available packages and primary programming languages. Importantly, this will be done through the twin lenses of delivering customer value and guiding Polymathian's continued evolution.
Project work will focus on providing technical leadership and guidance to the simulation team members to ensure successful outcomes for our clients in a consulting environment. This guidance will extend to growing, mentoring and personal development of the team.
**Required Experience**:
- Track record of providing discrete event simulation based advice to clients either with a recognised specialist consultancy or as part of an internal team.
- Demonstrated innovative approach in using simulation techniques to solve complex problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
**Desired Experience**:
- Experience with common COTS simulation packages such as Anylogic, Arena, Simio and Simul8.
- Experience in Python, (and SimPy), Java and/or C++.
