Store Sales Assistant – PPG – Mitchell, Australian Capital Territory
Full‑time position at PPG in the Taubman's Trade Centre in Mitchell. 38 hours per week, rostered between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding customer service and establish relationships with customers.
* Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store team & Trade team to improve sales potential within the store.
* Tinting and mixing paint, pelletizing paint drums, arranging orders for delivery, and colour matching.
* Deliver deliveries using the store vehicle (where applicable).
* Merchandise and replenish stock promptly and ensure it is presented well.
* Maintain store housekeeping and follow safety standards.
* Manual handling of paint tins.
Requirements
* Previous retail assistant experience with a desire to provide excellent customer service.
* Keen to learn new skills and invest an interest in building expertise on our products.
* Flexibility to work a 38‑hour roster between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
* Comfortable with manual handling: lifting heavy paint tins, pushing and pulling trolleys, using pallet jacks, standing for long periods, kneeling, loading the ute for paint deliveries, and performing deliveries and unloading on the other side.
* Valid driver's licence essential.
* Paint experience not essential – training provided.
