Manual Machinists – Welshpool
We are currently seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join busy workshops based in Welshpool. This is an ongoing opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with strong manual machining experience who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components. This role offers consistent hours, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to work on a wide range of industrial and heavy engineering components.

Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Operate manual machine tools including lathes, horizontal borers, slotting machines, radial drills, and cylindrical grinders
- Perform precision machining on flanges, valves, pump components, crankshafts, and heavy equipment parts
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to achieve accurate machining tolerances
- Conduct machine setup, measurements, and quality checks to ensure finished components meet requirements
- Maintain equipment and work areas to high safety and housekeeping standards
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality workmanship
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role
- Proven experience operating manual machining equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision measurement techniques
- Valid Driver's Licence – non-negotiable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reference checks required
