Responsibilities
WELL WE HAVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONALS JUST LIKE YOU Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct client assessments to determine individual capabilities and apply professional expertise to maximize independence and quality of life including regular reviews. Planning, implementing and evaluation of the physiotherapy and mobility program according to residents' needs and preferences. Plan, implement and evaluate individual patient assessments on admission and at regular intervals thereafter. Complete Chronic disease management program in line with Enhanced Primary Care regulations. Promote physiotherapy program goals, and coordination of the physiotherapy program. Understand the unique needs of each patient while acting as an advocate to assist individuals make informed decisions about their health.
Work closely with and provide support to the Manager to maintain a continuity of services for clients. Participate in continuous professional development in consultation with Clinical coordinator or as requested by AHSA/RAH management. As a member of the multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for initiating new services and opportunities for growth in accordance with the strategic direction. Maintain liaison with doctors and nurses along with writing reports, thank you letters and other documentation as required or requested by AHSA/RAH.
The Physiotherapist will be responsible for the effective provision of high quality services and health promotion activities through individual assessment, treatment and ongoing support with clients to ensure quality health outcomes are achieved. Initiate opportunities to develop new and innovative programs for continual improvement of services for clients. Undertake any other initiatives as directed by manager. Attend weekly meetings with the Clinical coordinator and close regular reporting/ feedback.
Clinical Expertise
Areas of clinical expertise required: Your role will cover however is not limited to requiring clinical skills from the following areas; Neurological, Musculoskeletal, Cardiorespiratory, Physical, Paediatric, Geriatric, Metabolic and Orthopaedic patient varieties.
Requirements
1. Current AHPRA / Physiotherapy Board registration

* Annual Salary of $75,000 - $80,000 is available for the right candidate, dependent on skills, experience and current registration level.
