This role involves delivering high-quality mental health services to older adults across Sydney Local Health District (LHD) services. With the opportunity for private practice rights, you will be able to generate income from treating private patients within the public system.
* Cognitive assessments with carers and family engagement are essential in this position, as well as mood disorder management through medication optimization and deprescribing strategies.
* Behavioural support plans, liaison with geriatrics and neurology teams, ED residential care MDTs and inpatient community leadership supervision of junior medical staff contribute to a successful career in old age psychiatry.
