We are seeking a high‐performing IT Systems Architect to join our corporate information technology team and play a key role in developing and improving Regis IT Infrastructure platforms and systems.

Based at our Subiaco head office and reporting to the IT Manager, you will lead the development, modernisation and continuous improvement of IT Infrastructure across all Regis sites, ensuring reliable, scalable and cost‐effective systems that align with business needs and the new Regis Technology Strategy.

You'll define, govern, and continually evolve architecture standards across networks, servers, cloud and on‐premises platforms, end‐user computing, telephony and cybersecurity, with a focus on improving infrastructure maturity, resilience, performance and scalability.

This role provides technical leadership across operational locations, driving consistency in service delivery and compliance with corporate standards. You'll also lead and develop IT teams, including System Administrators and Support Officers, and oversee a responsive, high‐performing Helpdesk function.

Accountable for infrastructure strategy, expenditure, capacity planning, asset lifecycle and vendor management, you'll work closely with cybersecurity and compliance to deliver Technology Strategy initiatives and uphold robust policies and standards.

As the primary technical lead during incidents and disaster recovery events, you'll play a critical role in minimising business disruption.

Main Responsibilities

* Lead the development, modernisation and continuous improvement of IT Infrastructure across all Regis operations, ensuring alignment with the new Regis Technology Strategy
* Maintain and evolve enterprise and infrastructure architecture standards, principles and roadmaps that support strategic technology uplift, operational resilience and scalable growth
* Lead architecture reviews for:
o New systems
o Infrastructure changes
o Security‐related initiatives
* Implement and maintain identity architecture, including access models, privileged access management, and lifecycle controls
* Design and maintain high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery architectures aligned to business impact assessments
* Lead cloud strategy, including:
o Azure architecture
o Hybrid integration
o Cost optimisation (FinOps practices)
* Drive proactive technology improvement, including patching, lifecycle management, obsolescence planning and infrastructure optimisation in support of the Technology Strategy
* Oversee security architecture in collaboration with Cybersecurity and IT Compliance, including:
o Zero Trust patterns
o Network segmentation
o Secure remote access
* Provide architectural input to vendor selection, contract evaluation, and technical assurance
* Be the technical lead on major outages and security events
* Maintain clear, current documentation within the Regis Wiki and document management systems, ensuring documentation includes logical, physical, and security architecture diagrams
* Enforce and improve governance and compliance as provided by the Cybersecurity and IT Compliance Officer
* Manage and coordinate with external service providers as required
* Maintain and provide maintenance of desktop and laptop computers, servers, network devices, cyber security systems, telephone systems, and other components of Regis IT infrastructure, including:
o Systems deployment and patch management
o On‐boarding/Off‐boarding of network users
o Analysis, provisioning, operation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure
o Manage capacity planning and reporting for sustainable infrastructure management
o Implementation of Regis Technology Strategy initiatives and IT strategic plans, with a focus on improving infrastructure maturity, reliability and scalability
o Implementation of Cybersecurity and IT compliance
o Oversee the delivery of IT training
o Identify improvement opportunities and minimise IT systems downtime
o Planning, management and execution of IT Infrastructure projects that deliver measurable improvements to capability, performance, resilience and user experience
o Network and systems monitoring systems
o Manage and maintain up-to-date documentation on all aspects of IT Infrastructure

Desired Skills and Experience

* Demonstrated experience in developing, improving and supporting IT Infrastructure platforms and systems, including senior technical and architecture responsibilities
* Sound knowledge and working experience in: Microsoft Windows Operating Systems / Hyper‐V / Windows Server / Azure Active Directory / Exchange Server / Monitoring systems / Backup platforms and technology
* Highly developed knowledge and technical expertise in ICT systems, with proven capability to identify, design and implement infrastructure improvements
* A strong customer focus and a passion for helping others
* Excellent communication
* Ability to work autonomously and be proficient in all aspects of IT Infrastructure, including computing, servers, networks, printers, audio visual systems, software platforms and related business systems
* Providing excellent technical support in a high paced environment where customer satisfaction is important
* Strong networking knowledge
* Disaster Recovery and Backup Management
* Cyber Security systems and practices
* Firewalls and perimeter protection systems
