Are you a proactive leader with a passion for creating safe, efficient, and future focused environments? WA Cricket is on the lookout for a dynamic Facilities Manager to take charge of our iconic venue and assets.
In this exciting and high impact role, you'll be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the WACA Ground's physical environment— protecting the venue, maximising its lifespan and ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and sustainably. From overseeing maintenance and compliance, to championing sustainability initiatives and managing key service providers, this is a role where no two days are the same.

How you'll make an impact
Ensure building compliance and safety through risk management, inspections, and adherence to legislation and standards.
Maintain accurate records for statutory obligations and compliance reporting.
Lead asset management planning, maintenance programs, and lifecycle costing within budget parameters.
Oversee preventative, reactive, and corrective maintenance, ensuring timely reporting and delivery.
Manage procurement, contractor performance, and technical services for facilities and events.
Develop and implement capital works strategies, including business cases and construction oversight.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with tenants, partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Drive sustainability initiatives focused on energy, water, waste, and environmental impact.
Manage departmental budgets, cost controls, and identify efficiency and savings opportunities.
Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of operational processes.
A great fit for this role looks like
Technical qualifications and/or experience for any of the major building services including air conditioning, lifts, and electrical is desirable
5-10 years in facilities, asset or building services roles
Strong understanding of building compliance, plant and equipment, and life-cycle planning
WA Construction Industry White Card (Work Safely in the Construction Industry); or capacity to complete within 1 month of commencement.
Extensive experience in managing complex facilities, preferably within sport, entertainment, or public venues (e.g., stadiums, arenas, convention centres, hospitals, universities or large commercial buildings)
Strong knowledge of asset management
Experience with contract tendering and procurement, managing service level agreements and oversight of contractors
High level knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices
Excellent time and work management skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Experience in budget management, capital planning, and sustainability programs.
Possess a current WA driver's license with a clean record
