We're currently seeking compassionate and committed Residential Youth Workers to join our growing team in Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia.
In this role, you'll support young people in a residential care setting, helping them feel safe, supported, and empowered as they navigate life's challenges. You'll be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing trauma-informed, person-centred care that creates real impact.

About the Role:
•Provide daily care, supervision, and support to young people
•Assist with life skills, routines, personal care, and household tasks
•Build positive relationships with professional boundaries
•Support emotional regulation, education, and recreational activities
•Implement behaviour support and therapeutic strategies
•Respond calmly to crisis situations and challenging behaviours
•Maintain accurate documentation and shift reports
•Collaborate with internal teams, Child Safety, and other stakeholders
•Ensure a safe and culturally appropriate home environment
About You:
•Genuine passion for working with children and young people
•Knowledge of trauma-informed care and adolescent development
•Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond to crisis situations
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•Flexible, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality care
Requirements:
•Ability to apply for Queensland Blue Card (Working With Children Check)
•Current Driver's Licence
•Relevant tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, Community Services or related (or willingness to obtain)
•Experience supporting young people with complex needs (preferred)
•Ability to pass a National Police Check
