About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you will ensure a seamless pre‑arrival experience of guests, offer a warm welcome and personalised check‑in, and manage the guest experience throughout their stay. You'll coordinate with departments to ensure smooth operations and conduct briefings to keep staff informed of special requests and guest needs, ensuring a consistent, exceptional experience for all guests.


Salary

Between $70,000 – $80,000 per annum.


Key Qualifications

* Seeks opportunities to engage with guests, generating genuine connections.
* Supports and improves business processes, policies and systems relevant to smooth operation.
* Desires and has ability to learn, develop and continuously improve.
* Assists in maintaining a safe workplace and environment.
* Has at least 2 years working in a similar role and living in a remote environment.
* Full driver's licence essential.
* Holds a responsible service of Alcohol certification.
* Experience in guest‑centric roles, capable of selling property experiences.

Experience working and living in a remote Luxury Lodge is preferred.


Tasks and Responsibilities

* Perform accurate cash counts and complete daily reconciliations.
* Coordinate daily guest service operations, ensuring seamless experiences from arrival to departure.
* Prepare guest invoices and process payments for incidentals upon departure.
* Conduct multiple team briefings throughout the day to align the wider team.
* Respond promptly to guest requests via phone, email, or in person.
* Liaise with the trade team to verify and confirm guest bookings prior to arrival.
* Act as chief warden in an emergency situation.
* Lead and coach team members in job tasks and standard operating procedures, to ensure service excellence, and in how to engage guests and exceed expectations.
* Liaise with department managers to align guest activities with other operational units, including housekeeping and food & beverage.
* Manage staff rosters and attendance records to maintain adequate coverage for guest services.
* Uphold and communicate safety and service standards across all guest‑facing areas.
* Monitor and evaluate service delivery, recommending improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Address and resolve guest and staff concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive outcome.
* Oversee luggage handling and arrival/departure assistance to deliver a premium guest experience.
* Support front‑office operations, including check‑in/check‑out and concierge services, as required.

These lists are not exhaustive; you may be required to perform other reasonable duties as assigned by your Manager.

This role is in a beautiful remote Tasmanian location, within a two‑hour drive of Hobart and Launceston. A vehicle and driver's licence (preferred) or other modes of accessibility to the property will be required.
