Project Manager - Engineering and Infrastructure

Monash Health’s Engineering & Infrastructure service employs over 50 people located across all major Monash Health sites. Our purpose is to ensure our buildings and infrastructure assets are maintained to the highest standards that are required for a critical health service.
A Day in the Life:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to effectively manage building, refurbishment, infrastructure and asset replacement projects.
Manage Minor Works allocated by the Senior Manager.
In this key role, the Project Manager – Engineering & Infrastructure, will have responsibility to effectively and efficiently manage delivery of the enabling infrastructure that will facilitate a functional Health Service. Key to your success in this role will be your stakeholder management throughout project delivery to ensure hospital services are not interrupted at any time during the implementation of the project. Maintaining client satisfaction without compromising quality standards are paramount to project delivery.
In addition you will:
1. Generate and manage the project program ensuring all contractors and suppliers deliver within project timeframes.
2. Ensure Contractors are managed effectively and efficiently in accordance with Health & Safety regulations
3. Ensure seamless integration of the new assets and infrastructure to replace the co-gen facility.
4. Ensure BAU to site operations is not compromised during the project.
5. Provide effective stakeholder management throughout the project delivery.
6. Carry out regular risk identification, assessment and mitigation (solution development strategies) in line with Monash Health risk management guidelines.
What You Bring:
You are an experienced Project Manager in the Engineering and Infrastructure industry and possess knowledge and experience in:
7. Leadership and direction to effectively manage a large scale project ensuring KPI’s are met.
8. Regulatory and statutory compliance and Health and Safety
9. Financial accountability to ensure the project is delivered within funding and scope
10. Experience working with and using Building Management Systems (Schneider, Johnson Controls, etc)
What you need:
11. Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in project/ contract management in a Health Care Environment or Alternatively an appropriate trade qualification with project management experience, preferably in a heath engineering environment.
12. Proven experience and competency in managing & delivering large technical projects.
13. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship skills with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong solution orientation, creativity & innovation
