Mechanical Engineer, Senior or Associate – Building Services

The Melbourne Building Services team is currently engaged in a broad portfolio of projects, with a strong emphasis on key initiatives in transport, data centres, defence, civic infrastructure, and commercial sectors. The team is made up of professionals ranging from graduate engineers to technical directors, offering a rich mix of perspectives and expertise. What you'll do
* Provide mechanical design expertise on single and multi‑disciplinary projects.
* Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time.
* Take lead on medium to large‑size engineering design projects and support major projects.
* Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams.
* Be a supporting figure and mentor for less‑experienced engineers.
* Build solid client relationships and recognise business development opportunities (desirable).
* Represent and promote the business with the local and regional markets.
About you
* Hold a recognised tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Demonstrated expertise in designing mechanical services systems (air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems).
* Circa 10+ years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer within Building Services.
* Have the ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
* Proven project experience in the building services sector across a range of large projects.
* Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
* Ensure registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
* Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritising work and meeting tight deadlines.
