What You'll Be Doing Provide efficient and effective early intervention family focused recovery assessments, counselling and care coordination services for women and families accessing inpatient and outpatient Maternity and Child & Family Services. The service will provide hospital inpatient support where required and capacity permits. How To Apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible by selecting APPLY NOW below A Tertiary qualification in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Comprehensive knowledge of psychosocial issues that arise for consumers and their families with chronic or acute illness. Experience or willingness to learn to conduct psychosocial assessments, group work and crisis management, within person centred and brief intervention models. Possess a high-level skill in communication, advocacy, negotiation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging legislation and policies related to, child safe standards, child protection, NCAT applications, and NDIS applications. Ability to design, plan, implement, participate, lead, and evaluate group work programs. Effective time management, prioritisation, and escalation with reference to various demands of the position. Valid unrestricted class C Australian Drivers licence and willingness to travel for work with overnight stays.
