We are seeking an experienced Director of Medical Imaging to join our team at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
* This is a fixed term full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight with on-call duties.
The successful applicant will have specialist registration or be a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway, or has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and sufficient experience in the speciality.
Salary:
A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $216,300 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $296,640 with further salary increments available.
Job Description:
The Director of Medical Imaging reports to the Clinical Director Critical Care, Clinical Support & Investigations and is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Tasmanian Health Service - Royal Hobart Hospital Medical (RHH) Imaging Service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working in conjunction with the Nurse Unit Manager, Operations Manager, and Chief Radiographer to manage the operational and strategic directions of the Medical Imaging Service.
* Providing high-level strategic leadership and direction regarding Medical Imaging services, including clinical governance, professional matters, network development and service integration.
* Undertaking a clinical load with a portfolio of non-clinical work such as research, education, clinical governance and other required work.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
