The Purpose The Delivery Coach exists to uplift delivery capability across AP+ by coaching squads and leaders in practical, industry-standard delivery practices.
The role focuses on embedding consistent planning, estimation, and delivery approaches, improving ceremonies and key delivery events, and strengthening the effective use of Jira and Confluence.
It is not intended to drive an enterprise-wide Agile transformation; rather, its success is measured by improved predictability, better decision-making, stronger governance alignment, and more confident, self-sufficient squads across specific lines of business and a range of delivery methodologies.
Core accountabilities of the role will include: Tailor support to team needs through short-term embedding, workshops, or one-on-one mentoring.
Facilitate workshops and resolve conflicts to remove impediments, build a culture of continuous improvement, and enhance delivery effectiveness.
Coach teams on tools, planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies to improve ways of working and enable effective enterprise reporting.
Work with teams at all capability levels to embed and refine standard practices, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
Mentor team members and leaders to uplift capability and maturity through best practice adoption for improved delivery outcomes.
Build strong cross-organisational relationships to enhance process and practice maturity.
Contribute to the design and implementation of standard tools, workflows, and governance frameworks that support transparency and enterprise-wide consistency.
Support teams in delivering customer value aligned with AP+ strategic objectives.
Present insights, findings, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Support governance processes for pricing and investment decisions.
Manage stakeholder relationships by facilitating effective communication, serving as a key point of contact, and supporting decision-making.
Success in this role requires demonstrated capability in the following areas Tertiary qualification in Business, Project Management, Organisational Development, or a related field.
Proven 2+ years' experience coaching teams, facilitating workshops, and mentoring to build delivery capability.
Proficient in delivery tools and practices (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) with a focus on continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of delivery methods, planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies.
Skilled in stakeholder management and providing expert advice to enable organisational change.
