Position Purpose: Under the direction of the Team Leader, Payroll, undertake a high-volume of payroll processing utilising the positional based EmpowerHR software to all employees of DLCS and the 45 Schools in the Diocese of Lismore. As a Payroll Officer this role supports the underlying Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore by delivering services that contribute to enabling students to achieve the fullness of life. Qualifications and Work Requirements: A Certificate III or IV in a relevant field (desirable not mandatory). A current/valid Australian Driver’s Licence and eligibility to work within Australia for the period of the appointment. Compliance with Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead as prescribed by the Bishops of NSW, or working towards accreditation at the appropriate level upon commencement. A National Police Check, or ability to obtain if the successful candidate. Work Experience: At least three years’ experience working in a payroll role in a medium to large organisation. Experience with education payroll is highly desirable. Key Capabilities: Experience with cloud based payroll software (EmpowerHR is highly desirable). Above average skills in MS Office software particularly Excel and Word. Attention to detail ensuring data entry is accurate. Effective and well developed oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member. Ability to interpret data and reconstruct in new formats.
