**The role**
We are looking for an experienced legal assistant to support a highly-regarded Commercial Government team. Working closely with the Practice Leader, you will be responsible for assisting with project management as well as supporting the greater team with a variety of legal and administrative tasks for some of the most complex projects and transactions for the country's largest and most interesting Australian Government clients.
The role is fast paced and will see you working with a variety of Australian Government clients on major projects, general procurements, contracting and commercial matters.
**Duties**
- Providing project and administrative support to a Commonwealth Government department
- Legal research
- Drafting and amending legal documents
- Answering client inquiries
- Attending meetings
- Project budget management
- Maintaining files
- Time sheet entry and client billing
**About you**
**To be considered for this role, you should have previous experience working in a legal assistant or paralegal position.**
***You will also have strong technical skills, mature approach with your communication skills, the ability to use your initiative and a high attention to detail.
We would love to hear from people currently working as a paralegal/legal support in government, who are able to provide 12+ months of ongoing work.
**Security clearance is required for this position.**
