National Account Manager - Adventure World

Location: Melbourne, VIC

We are now seeking an experienced and strategic National Account Manager to join our Sales team in Australia. Based in Melbourne, you will manage a defined portfolio of national key accounts and consortia partners, working closely with the Head of Sales, your Sydney‑based counterpart and our New Zealand National Sales Manager to deliver strong commercial outcomes across the region.

What You Will Do

* Strategic Account Management
o Develop and execute annual sales plans for your portfolio of National Key Accounts, the majority of which will be in the Southern States.
o Negotiate and manage commercial override agreements to drive shared growth.
o Lead quarterly business reviews with partners to evaluate performance and implement recovery or growth strategies.
* Revenue Growth and Sales Leadership
o Achieve and exceed gross sales and yield targets across your account portfolio.
o Identify new growth opportunities within existing partners and pursue new distribution channels.
o Work with the Head of Sales on annual budgeting, forecasting, and market analysis.
* Relationship Management and Industry Representation
o Build strong relationships with executives, product teams, and marketing leaders within partner Head Offices.
o Represent Adventure World at major conferences, expos, and VIP trade events. Domestic and international travel is required.
o Act as the senior point of contact for your accounts, resolving escalations and ensuring brand prominence.
* Collaboration and Teamwork
o Partner with the Sydney‑based NAM and NZ NSM to deliver a unified trans‑Tasman strategy.
o Work closely with the Marketing team to allocate cooperative marketing funds and deliver aligned, effective campaigns, and the Product team to ensure the right destinations are highlighted.
* Reporting and Market Intelligence
o Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets.
o Monitor performance, track expenses, and adjust plans when needed.
o Provide insights on competitor activity, market trends, and account performance to the Head of Sales.


What You Bring

* Minimum five years' travel industry experience including at least three years in B2B sales or account management.
* Experience working with national consortia Head Offices is highly desirable.
* Strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and the ability to analyse P&L and sales data.
* Exceptional influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* A self‑starter who thrives in a hybrid environment and can independently manage a national account strategy.
* Personal travel experience to Adventure World destinations.
* Existing senior‑level relationships within the Australian travel industry.
* Highly experienced presenter & storyteller.
* High level of proficiency with Excel, Salesforce, PowerPoint and AI tools.
