Van Leeuwen Green is an award winning horticulture and landscaping business servicing the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Since 1995 we have established hundreds of beautiful, long-lived gardens using our deep knowledge and experience of plants, horticulture and landscaping. We also specialise in high quality renovation and maintenance of residential and commercial gardens.
We are currently seeking Casual Gardener/Horticulturists with gardening or landscaping experience. Duties include weeding, mulching, raking, mowing and other tasks to assist the team leader; additional skills such as hedge-trimming, irrigation and pruning are also preferable. You would be filling in for garden maintenance staff who are away, or working on garden renovation or landscape teams when additional labour is required.
Pay would be approximately $30-40 per hour depending on any qualifications, and you must be available to work at short notice (Mon-Fri from 6:30am for a 7:30am start). We are an Elwood-based company and you would be working in the inner south-eastern suburbs; having your own vehicle would make it easier to get to the job site but is not a requirement.
It should be stressed that this is a casual position–hours are not guaranteed and there are no fixed or permanent days. This position does however have the potential to lead to permanent part-time or full-time work, including an apprenticeship, and would also suit those looking for short-term work.
