About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane’s busy Welcome Lounge & Day Procedure Unitis seeking aRegistered Nurseto take uppermanent part timeposition, working 32 hours per week.
This role offers the opportunity to utilise best practicein the delivery of qualitynursing care toour patients while working with adynamic and supportive nursing team in a purpose-built setting.
Mater's Welcome Lounge & Day Procedure Unit will see you working within a range of areasincluding pre-operative waiting area, recovery bays and a discharge area, and the day surgery service. This unit forms a critical part ofMater Private Hospital Brisbane’sSurgical and Acute Nursing Services.Our exceptional nursing team are required to provide quality care across all these areas, presenting opportunities and variety.
As an enthusiastic andmotivated Registered Nurse, you will use your experience and skillsto provide quality care to patients who are admitted for day surgery and inpatient care, always ensuring excellent standards of nursing care and work closely with patients and their families ensuring they experience a sensitive, welcoming, and friendly environment at all times.
About you
The successful applicant will possess:
* Recentsurgical and/or perioperative experience including the management of patient process from admission through to discharge
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with other health professionals and community services in the delivery of health care
* Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
* A demonstrated awareness of and involvement in quality and risk management
