Job Description
* Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming
* Provide transportation assistance to clients
* Provide respite care to clients and their families
* Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients
* Attend regular meetings with clients and their families to review and adjust their NDIS plans as needed
* Provide training and education to clients and their families on how to navigate the NDIS system
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field
Requirements
* A minimum of a high school or equivalent
* At least 1 year of experience working with people with disabilities
* Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Experience with CRM software and NDIS portals
* Understanding of health and safety regulations
* Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements
* Basic care and first aid skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
