Senior Account Manager - Growth and Strategy

Role Overview
The Account Manager role has a critical responsibility in delivering our growth plan through excellent management of our Australian customer and commercial Joint Business Plans. The successful candidate must have experience and capability to recognise levers to increase Diageo share.
This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage a fast-moving, multi-cultural business in an ambiguous environment with complex market conditions, customers, and consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and deliver the P&L with control of volume, NSV, OP, price, A&P, Trade Spend, and margin mix through successful negotiation and long-term planning with customers.
2. Lead S&OP and AOP cycles, engaging with Diageo Directors to share your vision for the business.
3. Develop accurate forecasts across all metrics: depletions, shipments, Trade Spend, and A&P.
4. Audit and review distributor customer performance against commercial scorecards, holding them accountable and agreeing action plans to close gaps.
5. Apply an entrepreneurial mindset to deliver interventions that over-achieve KPIs and close risks to plan.
6. Develop and agree on Joint Business Plans/Diageo 365 essentials that deliver sustainable value for stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create exceptional JBPs.
8. Build trade plans that delight local consumers at the point of purchase and create exceptional on/off-trade experiences while driving category growth and increasing Diageo share.
9. E nsure airport-level execution, communication, and design adhere to Diageo Global Brand Standards.
10. Maintain compliance and governance for projects, adhering to SOAs/Policies without exception.
11. Nurture relationships with customers and stakeholders, maintaining these despite challenging commercial negotiations.
