Lead Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist
CYMHS Tasmania is seeking a highly experienced Specialist Medical Practitioner – Psychiatrist to lead the delivery of child, adolescent and youth mental health services in the North West region. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to the community mental health program, working with children and young people aged 0-18 years.
1. Job Description:
The role involves providing comprehensive child and youth psychiatric services to the CYMHS Community Program across the NW region. This includes assessment, treatment, and consultancy services for children and young people at various sites across the region. The successful candidate will work within a framework of established medical services practice, recovery-focused, and trauma-informed care.
2. Required Skills and Qualifications:
o Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Psychiatry
o Current Working with Children Registration
