What you'll do
We are building our Corporate Tax Advisory division and are looking for an experienced Supervisor or Manager to join our team in the Brisbane office. You will be responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of projects/client relationships, in addition to providing technical knowledge, training and direction to those in the team to ensure quality and timeliness of service delivery. In particular you will:
* Manage and deliver tax compliance and advisory projects across income and employment taxes, including structuring/restructuring, and M&A activity
* Maintain a high level of understanding of your clients' businesses as well as current issues affecting clients; demonstrating good commercial judgement and knowledge
* Impart technical knowledge through training and on the job learning with staff
* Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with industry trends and changes in tax law.
* Assist to build the wider division through proactively contributing to innovation within the business unit
What you'll bring
* Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Law
* CA or CPA qualified
* Demonstrated and proven professional experience in tax advisory within a public practice setting, including tax effect accounting, tax return preparation and advisory projects
* Professional, client-focused, and invested in developing into a trusted business advisor
* Proven experience in supervising and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
* Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
