To support this, we are seeking a motivated Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Adelaide.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is organised, proficient in Excel, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse teams, and manufacturing to ensure orders are accurate, timely, and aligned with business needs.
Your Role
Reporting to the National Procurement Manager, you'll play a key part in ensuring procurement activities run smoothly across the business.
You'll be responsible for maintaining supplier data, monitoring stock levels, and supporting production planning through accurate and proactive ordering.
This role requires strong attention to detail, a solutions-focused mindset, and the ability to manage priorities independently.
Experience with PRONTO will be highly regarded.
What you'll do
Timely placement of stock & customer specific orders for all international & key domestic suppliers.
Communicate order progress, ETAs and any necessary changes to stakeholders.
Review stock orders and demand levels, making proactive adjustments as needed.
Coordinate with local warehouses, freight forwarders, and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure closure.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align stock requirements with production planning.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth transactions and communication.
Liaison with freight forwarders for cost effective import solutions.
Continuously seek process improvements to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience.
Participate in special projects to continuously improve processes, tools, system and organisation.
Maintain detailed records to ensure a clear and organised paper trail for all procurement activities, including effective management of email communications and timely responses to inquiries.
To Be Successful, You Will Need
A tertiary qualification in purchasing, supply chain management, procurement, or business.
Experience with Pronto software is preferred.
Strong compliance to process and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.
