Job Description: As a friendly and engaging Visitor Services Officer, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service to visitors, local businesses, and the wider community. This position supports tourism operations and delivers high-quality service in a dynamic frontline role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to enquiries, providing local information, and promoting the region.
• Process cash and card transactions, undertake reconciliations, and assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks.
• Support operations including stock ordering, product sales, administrative duties, and maintaining up-to-date local tourism knowledge.
• Assist with the development of marketing materials, website content, handouts, and tourism communications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Certificate III in Tourism or equivalent qualification, with experience in a tourism-related industry.
• Strong customer service skills, including face-to-face, telephone, and written communication.
• Proven retail or sales experience, including cash handling, reconciliations, and tourism product bookings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and corporate software, with good design sense for creating branded materials.
• Ability to work independently with strong time-management and organisational skills.
