About the Role
Step into a key leadership role where you guide clinical practice, shape team culture and support high-quality care. You'll partner with the Nurse Unit Manager to lead the ward, build capability and keep services safe, consistent and responsive.
Duties
* Lead day-to-day ward operations and support team performance
* Guide staff, build skills and support safe clinical practice
* Support recruitment, rostering, leave and work allocation
* Drive practice change and improve care consistency
* Manage attendance, performance and staff development
* Monitor supplies and support budget planning
* Build strong links with internal teams and partner organisations
About You
You're a confident clinician and emerging leader who brings sound judgement, clear communication and a team‐first mindset. You know how to keep care safe and consistent while supporting others to grow.
* Registered Nurse with AHPRA and current practising certificate
* Experience leading teams and guiding less experienced staff
* Strong communication, problem solving and conflict resolution
* Prioritise workload, meet deadlines with minimal direction
* Knowledge of legislation, standards and quality improvement systems
