Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures

Bell Textron Australia is a leading Helicopter Maintenance organisation with facilities in Coffs Harbour, NSW and Redcliffe, QLD. We are seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers - Structures to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
* Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with the relevant and current Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
* Ensure tasks and duties are accomplished as per Bell Textron Australia Policies and Procedures.
* Manage workflow on assigned jobs with minimal disruptions by effective use of allocated manpower and resources.
* Aircraft work packs and log book entries are completed in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
* Raise AMRs at the time of identification of additional work and ensure accuracy.
* Track progress of work to ensure budgetary control is maintained.
* Provide guidance to apprentices to assist them meet budgets and delivery schedules.
* Implement remedial action to correct project overruns.
* Contribute to parts ordering for assigned projects to ensure parts are available to meet scheduled delivery times.
* Regularly review project documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
* Provide input into customer queries and/or complaints.

* Ensure maintenance performed on aircraft under their control is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Contribute to the development and revisions of company procedures for continuous improvement.
* Participate actively in company WH & S program.
* Actively participate in company safety management system.


People Leadership:

* Operational management of apprentices providing clear directions for maintenance or modification of aircraft allocated to them.


Commercial Management:

* Daily management and control of aircraft that the Maintenance Supervisor has assigned them.
* Ensure adequate resources are available for timely completion of allocated maintenance and projects.
* Order spare parts at the correct timeframe to meet project deadlines while maintaining appropriate cost structure within MRO.
* Review job packs for assigned projects and ensure they are complete and reflect customer requirements.
* Monitor daily reporting on estimated versus actual hours and take action to correct or prevent overruns.
* Request AMRs to be raised for additional work through the Engineering Services department.
* Closed jobs are provided to Engineering Services for logging and invoicing at project completion.


Sales and Customer Management:

* Provide regular feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on progress of planned maintenance.
* Contribute to response to customer queries and complaints.


Regulatory and Compliance:

* Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is conducted in compliance with the Civil Aviation regulations for VH registered aircraft or equivalent regulations for foreign registered aircraft.
* Responsible to record and notify any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction contained in the maintenance data used by maintenance personnel to the Maintenance Supervisor.
* Demonstrate good judgement and efficiency in the use of company resources.
* Ensure personal conduct is in line with the Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Conduct & Business Ethics.

Knowledge and Skills:


Required:

* Experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility performing structural repairs, heavy maintenance and modifications.
* Understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements and standards for Aircraft maintenance.
* Computer Literate at basic level in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft suite.


Preferred:

* Structural repair and modification experience on aircraft in the scope of the Bell Textron Australia CAR 30 and Part 145 certificates.
* Previous experience in an organisation within a similar scope and size to Bell Textron Australia.
