Our ideal candidate has experience in project management and a strong understanding of ICT Systems, AI and education software. You will have strong project management skills and a good understanding of IT Service Management. Ideally you will be familiar with providing technical guidance in an education setting. You will have the ability prioritise and take initiative, making a positive impact on the business and their overarching technical needs. Through efficiency and communication, you will develop a better understanding of the users’ needs and championing the Directorate commitment to continuous improvement. Your investigation and software platform risk assessment skills should be one of your core professional strengths. Our ideal candidate takes ownership of issues and will demonstrate the ability to have an overall perspective on business and technical issues, events, activities and an understanding of their wider implications and long-term impact in the education sector. You will be able to understand ACT Educations position on the use of AI and other emerging technologies in schools. You will be able to champion safe use of new technologies, support productivity enhancements and be positioned as a trusted advisor. Extensive knowledge of information technology, information management and service design as it relates to the education sector will be highly regarded. The ability to juggle priorities, be resilient and tactful, passionate about what you do and committed to making a difference are key traits for the ideal candidate. Eligibility/Other Requirements: High level ICT Service Management and project management skills, including experience in the deployment of initiatives, programs or projects. Demonstrated interest in using technology to support learning and the safe use of Artificial Intelligence tools. Strong investigation and software platform risk assessment skills, as well as the ability to identify risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ability to manage community of practice and experience in implementing strategies and roadmaps. Highly developed oral and written communication (brief writing) skills with sound interpersonal, negotiation, mediation and liaison skills. Ability to consistently model and demonstrate the ACT Government Respect, Equity and Diversity Framework and lead safe work practices that are in accordance with Cultural Integrity and the Directorate’s Work Health and Safety policies, procedures and responsibilities. Note: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
