The Culinary Leader position is a key role within our establishment. Direct reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef is expected, while maintaining leadership over kitchen hands and cooks.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver impeccable cooking standards, balancing timing, temperature, and flavours to achieve outstanding results.
* Oversee preparation and presentation of dishes within their section, ensuring precision, consistency, and visual appeal.
* Mentor and instruct section staff on advanced cooking techniques, efficient practices, and the establishment's signature methods.
* Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health protocols.
* Manage the preservation and storage of specialty items, including freezing, vacuum-sealing, or other methods to maintain peak quality.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef and management to design and refine seasonal menus, reflecting the establishment's culinary style and fine dining standards.
* Determine ingredient quantities and staffing requirements for each service, source premium produce, and coordinate timely deliveries from trusted suppliers.
* Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain smooth service flow and address any preparation or service concerns.
* Recruit, onboard, and develop kitchen team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification and Work Experience requirement: An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) + 3 year of full time work experience as a Chef. If the applicant has no relevant qualification, at least six years of highly relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
