Senior Pharmacy Technician Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacy technician to support our Medicines Management Team in Sussex, working closely with community health services across the region.
This role will be based at Brighton General Hospital and involve supporting adult inpatient beds in Brighton & Hove, leading on medical gases, and contributing to Trust-wide Medicines Safety and Governance initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience, effective communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work proactively and independently, providing expert advice and guidance on medicines management and governance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting in the legal, safe and cost-effective use of medicines, working closely with designated medicines management pharmacists and technicians, and leading on Medical Gases.
* Supporting the pharmacy dispensary team as an Accredited Checking Technician (ACT) when required, participating in the pharmacy dispensary rota, and assisting in the training and development of pharmacy and other healthcare staff.
* Developing and implementing audits, creating data and expenditure reports, writing reports and presenting findings as appropriate.
This is a Monday-Friday role with no weekends or on-call, offering flexible and hybrid working arrangements that may be considered. Some travel across Sussex is required for this position.
