Mental Health Practitioner – Dalby, Queensland

Position Description:

The organisation is seeking a passionate Mental Health Practitioner to join their small, supportive team in Dalby. This is your chance to make a tangible impact in rural Queensland, helping people who might otherwise fall through the cracks. This is an incredible opportunity to grow your career in mental health. You'll work closely with individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. Whether you're a registered Psychologist, a Mental Health‑Accredited Social Worker, or a Mental Health‑Accredited Nurse, they would love to hear from you. Your day-to-day will include:

* Delivering tailored therapy sessions for a range of mental health concerns
* Monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed
* Collaborating with other professionals and referring clients to additional services
* Managing clinical risk with care and professionalism


Position Requirements:

* A relevant tertiary qualification and professional registration (e.g. AHPRA or AASW)
* You want to make a difference. You'll be the person who helps clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
* A genuine passion for helping vulnerable and marginalised communities
* Skilled in assessments, evidence‑based treatment planning, and risk management, you're committed to ethical, client‑centred care
* Thrive in a team environment but are comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and LGBTIQ individuals is highly regarded
* A current Australian driver's licence
* Local knowledge of services will help you hit the ground running. In this role, you'll deliver brief, evidence‑based psychological interventions – up to 10 sessions per client – focused on recovery, resilience, and wellbeing.
