Blyton Group is a dynamic and growing group spanning multiple industries, including radio, hospitality, and tourism. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team and take ownership of payroll and contract administration across the entire group.
About the Role
As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, accurate, and compliant delivery of payroll functions. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of weekly payroll across the entire Blyton Group
* Liaising with external payroll platform provider to ensure accurate processing.
* Administration and maintenance of employee contracts and records
* Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation, and company policies
* Processing leave requests, terminations, and other payroll adjustments
* Preparing payroll reports and providing insights to management
* Liaising with managers and staff to resolve payroll queries
* Assisting with process improvements and system efficiencies
About You
* Proven experience managing payroll (multi-entity/group payroll experience highly regarded)
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* High-level organisational and time management skills
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
* Proficiency with payroll/HR systems (Employment Hero experience advantageous)
