We are seeking a Carpenter/Handyman to join our team with an immediate start.
This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of experience who is keen to build their skills and grow with the business.
Role Overview
The Carpenter is responsible for supporting reactive and preventative maintenance across our client sites. This includes general repairs, project and upgrade works.
You’ll work across metropolitan sites, with occasional regional or interstate travel as required, with a guaranteed 38-hour working week.
This position suits you if you are looking for consistent work at a competitive hourly rate of $45 – $50 per hour, plus a company vehicle, fuel card, allowances and overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with general building and facility repairs (carpentry, patching, basic repairs, general upkeep).
* Opportunities for supporting our senior technicians with maintenance on spray booths, compressors, extraction fans and workshop equipment (training provided).
* The opportunity to help with installs, upgrades and small project works as directed.
* Complete service notes & upload photos of jobs and submit timesheets daily.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures and instructions.
* Travel to multiple client locations as required (company vehicle provided while working).
* Work both independently on simple tasks and as part of a team on larger jobs.
* Start from the job site instead of driving to the office first.
Must Have
* Valid manual driver’s licence.
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
* Good attitude, reliability and strong work ethic.
* Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and customer service approach when dealing with clients and team members.
* A willingness to travel interstate is advantageous but not essential.
* Basic tools of the trade.

Qualifications
* High school or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
* Any prior experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, spray booths or general labouring is favourable.
* CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent).
* A White Card (CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
