Principal Test Engineer / Team Lead

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Principal Test Engineer / Team Lead, you'll ensure the quality and reliability of our performance and health software and firmware products. You will lead a small team of test engineers embedded in delivery teams and drive both automation and manual testing practices. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of Test Engineers.
* Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing features.
* Coordinate the execution of both automated and manual test efforts cross squad.
* Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and tools.
* Collaborate with tech leads, product managers, and other stakeholders to build delivery roadmaps that build quality in.
* Monitor and report on testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
* Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.
* Hands on; we lead from the front.
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
* Prior experience leading or managing a small team
* Solid understanding of agile software development life cycles while supporting a cross squad roadmap
* Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot, JUnit, TestNG). Experience with CI/CD is a must
* Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including experience managing senior stakeholders
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
