Specialist Academic Workload

Deputy Vice-Chancellor's Office

* Continuing, full-time
* $107,370 to $124,606 per annum (HEO8)
* Plus 17% employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum
* 20 days gender affirmation leave per annum
* 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
* 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum
* Armidale based role. Flexible or hybrid work arrangements available
* Relocation assistance provided

About the role

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Specialist Academic Workload position will play a key role in supporting, the Executive Deans, Faculty Operations Managers, Academic Workload Committee and Coordinators and other university stakeholders in the ongoing implementation and evaluation of UNE's academic workload model. The incumbent will provide subject matter expertise on academic workload model implementation, focusing on advising key stakeholders on ongoing implementation, developing and refining business processes, analysing model data, and conducting model evaluation.

The position will also provide training to faculty staff and serve as Secretary to the Academic Workload Committee.

About you

We're seeking a highly capable individual with strong stakeholder engagement, advanced analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage priorities in a dynamic setting. You'll need experience in process improvement and systems evaluation, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative yet decisive approach, all while driving continuous improvement in line with UNE's goals.

About the Deputy Vice-Chancellor's Office

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor's Office provides leadership across the University and delivers on UNE's strategy and goals. The DVC oversees the Faculties and divisions that manage UNE's academic functions, educational offerings, student life cycle and student experience. The office is responsible for the academic identity of UNE and the core academic functions of the University which are aggregated under the three Academic Faculties, the Education Futures Division, the Student Journey Division, and the UNE Oorala Aboriginal Centre.
