Overview
Apprentice - Civil Construction role at Careers at Council, located in Sutherland Shire, New South Wales. This four-year apprenticeship provides comprehensive training within the Civil Works and Presentation team, with the goal of completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience while contributing to maintenance, restoration, and construction of civil assets, including roads and stormwater infrastructure.

Candidate Profile / Qualifications
* Satisfactory completion of Year 10 (Record of School Achievement).
* Able to meet manual handling and physical requirements of the role.
* Willingness to work outdoors and with trade-related equipment.
* Demonstrated interest in pursuing a trade in Civil Construction.
* Desirable: Class C licence.
Program Details
* Role type: Four-year apprenticeship.
* Involves planned and reactive maintenance, restoration, and construction of civil assets.
* Physical tasks include work with ready-mixed concrete and asphalt, excavation, concrete cutting, limited plant operation, traffic management, and surveying.
* Attendance at the allocated Registered Training Organisation and completion of all required learning components is mandatory.
* Hours: Temporary Full Time, 38 hours per week with a 9-day fortnight.
* Package: $43,024.80 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
