Play Force is seeking a Risk Assessor & Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. The role will be based at their Logan Village facility in the interim, with a relocation of Play Force headquarters to Beenleigh occurring in December 2026. The Position… The position is responsible for providing expert-level safety compliance by conducting Comprehensive, Operational, and Routine inspections of playground and park assets. This role ensures that Play Force clients’ facilities are operated in alignment with current Australian Standards, minimising liability and ensuring a high-quality recreational environment for the community. This is a dynamic and autonomous role, providing variety where no work day is the same! The Risk Assessor & Maintenance Technician role will be responsible for servicing clients in the Brisbane area and surrounding regions (e.g. Gold Coast). Full training & induction will be provided to the successful candidate. Key responsibilities of this role include: Conduct Comprehensive, Operational, and Routine inspections in accordance with relevant Australian Standards. Perform Impact Attenuation Testing (drop testing) using precision equipment to verify surfacing compliance. Deliver detailed findings and evidence-based risk assessments using custom-built inspection software, ensuring high-quality photographic documentation. Perform high-standard minor maintenance and repairs on playgrounds and other recreational facilities. Collaborate with the inspection team to execute large-scale, multi-site inspection projects across Australia. Maintain accurate job records, including labour hours and materials; manage vehicle stock and ensure all specialised tools are calibrated and site-ready. Communicating effectively with management, in particular the Inspection Manager, to ensure efficient scheduling and rapid response to client needs. Adhere to all JSEA and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS); ensuring zero incidents through disciplined work methods and appropriate PPE usage. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including regional and interstate travel as required. Fostering positive relationships with team members, contractors, suppliers, and service providers. The role will have a minimum 38 hr working week, with the ability to do longer hours. This role also provides travel opportunities nationally. Ideal Candidate Criteria… The ideal candidate will have the following: QLD Manual Driver’s Licence (mandatory) Blue or White construction induction card (mandatory) Positive Notice Blue Card – Paid Employment (mandatory; can be obtained when commencing the job) 2 years of experience in a technical testing, auditing, or maintenance role; or similar compliance-heavy field (mandatory) Level 3 Comprehensive Playground Inspector qualification (desirable) Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards related to playground safety and surfacing High attention to detail with a keen eye for identifying wear-and-tear, and non-conformities that others might miss Proficient in the use of IT systems, tablets, and specialised reporting software High level of written and verbal English to ensure technical reports are clear and professional Honest, accountable, reliable, self-driven & strong work ethic Able to work autonomously & strong problem solving skills The Benefits… Play Force is offering a permanent full-time position, along with an attractive hourly rate (negotiable based on experience) plus superannuation.
