Senior Mental Health Clinician - Infant Child Youth Mental Health Wellbeing Service - Part time - Fixed term position available.

The Senior Mental Health Clinician will be a valued member of the Youth Early Intervention Team and will provide specialist mental health assessment and targeted interventions for young people, inclusive of families, with a high degree of autonomy. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work.
* Postgraduate qualifications in mental health (for appointment at RN4 level).
* A current Victorian (or equivalent) driver’s license.
* Demonstrated ability and experience in working with and engaging young people, their families, and support networks.
* Sound understanding of Early Psychosis and phase-specific treatment approaches.
* Demonstrated ability to function independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.

AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.

The Incentive program was designed by the Department of Health to support the attraction, relocation, and retention of mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) workers to priority positions in area mental health and wellbeing services across rural and regional Victoria.
