What your day will look like
You’ll move seamlessly between guiding a committed multidisciplinary team and delivering specialist care to women and families. Your time will be spent providing expert oversight of clinical services, consulting with inpatients and outpatients, and performing a range of obstetric and gynaecological procedures. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across departments, mentor and support junior doctors, and contribute to education, research and clinical governance activities. Alongside your Co‑Director, you’ll shape the department’s culture, manage key operational functions, and strengthen service delivery across Toowoomba Hospital and surrounding facilities—ensuring high‑quality, safe and compassionate care is always at the forefront.
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value from $381,337 (L18) up to $476,304 (L27) comprising salary rates between $103.79 (L18) and $131.60 p.h. (L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., regional attraction allowance, professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value.
