The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia's Product Support, Training and Maintenance capability is looking for an experienced Work Management Analyst to join the RAAF E-7A Wedgetail Integration Team, based at RAAF Williamtown. The Integration Team provides baseline and task/work management services for the Wedgetail Change Team, Engineering Teams, and Sustainment Services Team including capability upgrades and new weapons systems integration.
This role will be responsible for ensuring that the right business intelligence is available at the right time to enable our staff and our customers to make data driven decisions relating to projects as they move through their life cycles. We are building an enterprise wide system that builds upon the good work done in many parts of Wedgetail using Jira as a task management tool, but we need people to run that system.

To succeed in this role, the most important elements are good verbal and written communication skills, and a comfort using and developing IT systems (we'll mostly be using Jira which you can learn). Having a diversity of technical acumen within the team would be desirable so you can understand what the work is that you'll be helping manage, as well as a desire to share knowledge and skills with others through the delivery of Jira training on an as required basis.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting in developing and running the Enterprise Work Management system that tracks new work from a good idea through to incorporation.
- Customising Jira to efficiently and transparently manage all work for Wedgetail
- Acting as the single-entry point for new E-7A Wedgetail work proposals
- Ensuring all work is correctly assessed and prioritised in collaboration with the RAAF and our team SME's
- Transferring work to the right team for execution at the right time.
- Monitoring enterprise performance by extracting business intelligence from our work management system, including task throughput and backlog size change metrics
- Automating and connecting the separate business management tools in use
- Promoting consistent use of the work management system across the program.
Experience/Qualifications
- Prior experience working with Defence as a customer or stakeholder would be beneficial
- Desirable - Diploma or experience in project management (PMBoK, Prince, Agile)
- Desirable - Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint,
- Desirable - Advanced MS office suite user
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain NV1 Security Clearance.
About the Wedgetail Integration Team
The Wedgetail Integration Team delivers and sustains the enterprise systems and processes that plan, prioritise, coordinate and communicate all work executed by the Wedgetail Enterprise with Program Management Best Practices as its guide. It is the single-entry point for all new work so that all work done by the enterprise can be known, prioritised, and resourced, and the custodian of the Enterprise Work Management System that provides an unbroken link between Enterprise priorities and individuals workload. All enterprise level reporting is coordinated through this team (e.g. business reviews) so that the full context of enterprise activities may be synthesised effectively.
